Maintain Bank Details

The "Maintain Bank Details" form allows Employer and Self-Employed Person/Parent to save their standing instruction in the Portal. From 3 May 2017, Employers and Self-Employed Persons/Parents* (including applicants for Government-Paid Maternity Benefit (GPMB)) will have to complete the "Maintain Bank Details" in the GPL Portal before submitting any application.

The following information are required:

Employer:

The company's name, CPF Submission Number, contact number, name of contact person, email address and bank account number
 
Self-Employed Person/Parent*:
The parent's name, NRIC number, email address and bank account number

*Note: For Self-Employed Person/Parent, all details (except the bank account number) will be retrieved from MyInfo if available. 

Accurate and up-to-date information in the "Maintain Bank Details" form removes the hassle of providing such information each time you submit an application. You can also make changes online easily. Details will be instantly updated in your next application.


Employer:
Only personnel with 'Manager' role (for UEN entities) and the NRIC/FIN holder of the CPF Submission Number (for Non-UEN entities) can provide and/or update the company's information via "Maintain Bank Details".

Self-Employed Person/Parent:
You can provide and/or update your standing instruction in GPL Portal. If there is no such information, you will be automatically directed to provide the standing instruction in the "Maintain Bank Details" form upon login.

​The Portal will automatically direct the authorised personnel to provide information in the "Maintain Bank Details" form upon login.

If there is existing information and the last login was more than a year ago from the current date, the authorised personnel will be prompted to confirm or update the information upon login. 


Employer:
For UEN entities, the authorised personnel with any assigned CorpPass role can view the information.

For non-UEN entities, only the NRIC/FIN holder of the entity can view the information. 

Self-Employed Person/Parent:
You can log in via SingPass to view your standing instruction. 

You can click on the "Maintain Bank Details" icon at the GPL Portal homepage to log in. Upon successful login, you will be able to view the information but only an authorised CorpPass user can edit the information.

If there is existing information and the last login was more than a year ago from the current date, the authorised personnel will be prompted to confirm or update the standing instruction and/or contact details upon login.

Employer:
Yes. We require you to provide updated contact details and standing instruction before your company can submit any GPL application.

If your company is logging in for the first time and you have the authorised access, you will be directed to "Maintain Bank Details" form automatically upon login to provide the necessary information. 

Once the details are created, the existing standing instruction that was submitted via DCA form will be shown for your confirmation in "Maintain Bank Details".

Self-Employed Person/Parent:
No. You would be able to proceed with any eService in the GPL Portal.

The standing instruction that was previously submitted via DCA form will be shown for your confirmation while submitting any GPL application. 

Yes, you need to provide the information via “Maintain Bank Details” in Government-Paid Leave (GPL) Portal before you can submit any GPL application if you are using a GIRO account. 

​Yes, you may do so if your client has assigned you the role of ‘Manager’.


The bank account details reflected in the GPL Portal is the information provided in the "Maintain Bank Details" (previously known as "Maintain My Profile") or Direct Credit Authorisation (DCA) form. 
 
For Employer
If your company wishes to change the existing information, please inform your authorised personnel (assigned with 'Manager' role – for UEN entities) or the NRIC/FIN holder of non-UEN entities to update online via "Maintain Bank Details".
 
For Self-Employed Parent/Person
You can update online via "Maintain Bank Details". The updated standing instruction will be reflected in your next GPL application.

SWIFT BIC stands for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) Bank Identifier Codes (BIC). SWIFT BIC are unique identifiers which are used when transferring information and funds from one bank to another.

​POSB is grouped under DBS Bank Limited. You can indicate the SWIFT BIC under DBS Bank Limited.

Customers of the following banks should indicate the branch code followed by their bank account numbers.

  a)   The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore Branch, or HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited (HSBC)
        Example: 
        Branch code for HSBC Jurong – 146
        Account number – 123456789
        Account number to indicate in the GPL transaction – 146123456789 (12 digits)

  b)   Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (OCBC)
         Example:
         Branch code for OCBC Bedok – 520
         Account number – 123456789
         Account number to indicate in the GPL transaction - 520123456789 (10 or 12 digits)

  c)   State Bank of India (SBI)
        Example:
        Branch code for SBI Clementi– 290
        Account number – 12345678911
        Account number to indicate in the GPL transaction – 29012345678911 (14 digits)

You can view and update your personal data profile via MyInfo. To do so, you will need to log in with your SingPass.

For details that are government-verified and registered with the government, you are required to contact the relevant Agency to update your Government-verified fields if they are incorrect.

Details provided in the GPL portal is meant for the GPL application only. It will not keep any records of your updated email address or update MyInfo for you.
